Software publishers like Microsoft and Symantec are gradually pushing software distribution to the net. And they have all kinds of logical reasons to do it, for example cut out the distribution chain and take some of the margin for themselves. They ignore two things at their peril. The first is, have you ever tried to get the answer to a simple question off the Microsoft website? If you are lucky, or have hours to spend, you might get it; most of us still like to pick up the phone and ask another human being who knows what they are talking about. The other is, what happens if you order the wrong product, or there is some kind of problem getting it to work? Refer to the answer above. As for me, I like to have a disc, so if there is a problem with my pc, like a hard disk crash or file corruption, I can easily reload the software I have purchased. Old fashioned or what?
